Can I edit or modify a PDF document with FPDI?

If I import a whole document it's bookmark outline is gone, why?

As FPDI does not modify a PDF document but imports it page by page into a structure which can be re-used with FPDF, all content outside a pages content stream, like a documents bookmark outline, get lost.

After importing a page all annotations are gone, why?
